Once your listing is live, buyers can request a viewing for your property by providing the following information:
- A non-binding indicative offer - helps ensure the buyer is aligned on price
- What they love about your property
- Whether they have a home to sell first
- How they will fund their purchase - cash buyer / mortgage agreed in principle
- Profile - background about themselves and their property search
- ID - we verify the identity of the buyer using their passport or driving licence
Each time you receive a viewing request, we will send you an email notification with a link to view the full details of the request in your Ostrich Seller Account.
You're in control which means you only have to accept viewings when there is an offer from a serious buyer that interests you.
From your Ostrich Seller Account, you can respond to the offer with just a few clicks by choosing one of the following options:
I'm interested in arranging a viewing
We'll ask you to set your availability which will be shared with the buyer so that they can book a viewing.
I'm looking for a higher price
We'll tell the buyer that the current offer is below your expectations. If you'd like to price that you'd start to entertain offers, then please provide this information when prompted, so that we can share it with the interested buyer. Buyers can resubmit a new offer if they wish to re-engage you.
It's not the right time
We'll tell the buyer that you're not ready to sell right now. If you have an approximate timeline for when you'd consider entertaining offers, let us know and we can share this with the buyer. Many buyers are willing to wait for the right property.

Viewings
Once a buyer books a viewing, you'll receive a confirmation email to let you know.
Read our guide to How viewings work with Ostrich. After any viewing, the Ostrich team will follow up with the buyer to get their feedback and see if they're interested in scheduling another visit or making a formal offer.
Managing your Price Guide
It is important that you receive offers that match your expectations. You can update your property's Price Guide at any time in the Manage Listing section of your Ostrich Seller Account.
