Selling with Ostrich
- Responding to viewing requests
When someone’s interested in your home, they can request a viewing. Each time you receive a viewing request, we’ll notify you by email. You can also view all your requests in the Buyers section of your Seller dashboard. Just make sure you Switch to seller when you log in.
- Arranging viewings
When a verified buyer is interested in viewing your home, you’ll receive an email notification with their request. This will include information about the buyer’s position, a note on what they love about your property, and an indicative offer.
- Managing your viewings
It’s easy to change or cancel a viewing in your Ostrich account. You’ll find all your upcoming viewings in the Viewings section of your Seller dashboard. Just make sure you Switch to seller when you log in.
- Hosting your own viewings
You’ll be the one showing buyers around your home. On the day of the viewing, you’ll meet with the buyer directly, without anyone from the Ostrich team.

- Getting buyer feedback
After each viewing, the buyer is invited to share their thoughts on your home and how the visit went. At this stage, they can also request a second viewing or submit a formal offer.

Once you arrange your first viewing through the platform, a member of our team will get in touch to arrange your ID and proof of address checks. They’ll also ask you to sign our seller terms.
- What if I decide to switch to a traditional agent?
We offer a zero-commitment contract. You can leave at any time and for any reason. If you wish to switch to a traditional agent, that’s absolutely fine.
