Find your dream home
- Why do I need to register to view property details?
To protect homeowners’ privacy we require all buyers to register before they can view full property listings. Full property listings include photos, floor plans and a complete property description.
- Setting your email alerts
We add new properties to Ostrich as soon as they become available, so making sure your preferences are up to date is the best way to stay in the loop.
- Communicating with owners
We believe it’s important for you to be able to connect directly with the homeowner. Buying a home is a big decision, and having the chance to build a relationship from the start can make the process more open, honest, and ultimately more enjoyable.
- Requesting a viewing
On Ostrich, you can discover unique homes before they reach the open market. When a property catches your eye, you can send a viewing request directly to the homeowner.
- Understanding the sale timeline
Every home listed on Ostrich is owned by someone who plans to sell at some point, although not everyone is on the same timeline. Some owners are actively thinking about selling soon, while others might only be tempted if the right offer comes along. And then there are those who aren’t planning to move for a year or more.
- Understanding the price guide
Each property on Ostrich includes a price guide - a number set by the homeowner that reflects what they’d likely need to receive in order to seriously consider selling.
- What is an indicative offer?
When you request a viewing, we ask you to include an indicative offer along with a bit of information about your buying position.
- Why do I need to verify my identity?
To protect the privacy and security of our homeowners, we require all buyers to verify their identity at the point at which they make a viewing request with an indicative offer.
- I've submitted a viewing request, what happens next?
Your viewing request and indicative offer will be sent to the owner of the property. Typically, viewing requests are responded to within seven days.
