When a verified buyer is interested in viewing your property, you’ll receive an email notification with their request. This will include information about the buyer’s position, a note on what they love about your property, and an indicative offer.
If you’re ready to organise a viewing, choose the option Yes, let’s get something booked in!
Since homeowners host their own viewings, the first step is to understand your schedule. You'll be prompted to set your availability for viewings so we can share it directly with the buyer.
After you’ve set your viewing availability, you’ll have the option to message the buyer if needed. It’s a great way to share any extra details or context that might be useful.
For future viewing requests, we’ll automatically pre-select the times you’ve previously chosen. If your availability has changed, please make sure you remove any times which are no longer convenient, before confirming.
If a buyer has scheduled a viewing, you'll notice the corresponding time will be grey and crossed-out.
Note: If you change your availability at any point, the most recent times you've chosen will be visible to any buyers you have invited to view your property, but who haven’t booked a time yet.
What happens if the buyer can’t do the times I provided?
If none of the viewing times you’ve suggested work for the buyer, you’ll get an email notification asking you to provide some different options. The buyer will share more details about their availability to help you find a time that suits. Once you update your availability, the buyer will be notified.
What happens if all the times I set have already been booked?
If all the viewing times you added have either been booked or are now in the past, you’ll receive an email notification requesting that you add more availability. Once you confirm your new times, we’ll notify the buyer.
How do I update my availability if my schedule changes?
If your plans change at any point, you can easily update your viewing availability. If you open your conversation with the buyer, there is an option to Change availability. This will allow you to add, edit and remove times.
What happens when a buyer books a viewing?
When the buyer selects a time, you’ll receive a viewing confirmation email. The email will provide all the details of the viewing, including anyone attending with the buyer.
How do I keep track of viewings that have been booked?
You’ll find all your upcoming viewings in the Viewings section of your Seller dashboard. Just make sure you Switch to seller when you log in.
To view all the details of your conversation with a particular buyer, as well as cancel or reschedule, simply select Manage viewing. For more details check out our help guide on managing viewings.
What happens after viewings?
After the viewing, buyers are asked to share feedback and let you know if they’d like to move forward with a formal offer or arrange a second viewing. For more details, take a look at our guide on receiving viewing feedback.
What happens if I want to cancel the viewing invitation?
We understand that sometimes plans change. If you no longer wish to host the viewing and the buyer has not yet scheduled a viewing, you can easily withdraw the invite. You’ll be prompted to pick a reason, so that the buyer can be kept updated.
