After each viewing, the buyer is invited to share their thoughts on your property and how the visit went. At this stage, they can also request a second viewing or submit a formal offer.
Most interested buyers provide feedback within 48 hours, though occasionally it may take a little longer. As soon as we receive a response, you'll be notified by email.
And if they decide your property’s not the right fit, we’ll pass that feedback on too.
How does a buyer request a second viewing?
If a buyer would like to arrange a second viewing, they can request one through their Ostrich account. As part of their request, they’ll be able to send you a message.
If you’re happy for them to visit again, you can share your availability and get something set up.
We always recommend buyers make the request through their account, as this helps keep everything organised, ensures reminders are sent, and guarantees we follow-up afterwards.
How does a buyer make a formal offer?
If a buyer would like to submit a formal offer, they can do so directly through their Ostrich account. Once an offer is made, a member of our team will be in touch with you to share the details and talk through next steps. The offer will include details on the buyer’s funding position as well as their preferred timeline.
We can handle the negotiation on your behalf, just like a traditional estate agent. We also manage proof of funds and KYC checks as part of the process. Throughout, we’re here to provide support and guidance - but you’re always in control, and there’s never any pressure to accept an offer you’re not comfortable with.
What if the buyer needs more time?
Sometimes a buyer is interested but just not quite ready to take the next step. They might need a bit more time to speak with family, sort out their finances, or finish up other viewings.
If that’s the case, they can let you know through their Ostrich account and leave a quick note to explain what’s going on.
