Once you've been to a viewing, you’ll be invited to share your thoughts. Since viewings are hosted by the owners themselves, your feedback really matters. It helps them understand how their home is resonating and what buyers are looking for.
Sharing your feedback is quick and easy. Whether you’d like to arrange a second visit, make a formal offer, or simply let them know the property isn’t right for you, your response helps keep things moving.
You’ll be able to choose from the following options:
- I’d like to make a formal offer
- I’d like to organise another viewing
- I’m interested, but need more time
- I’m no longer interested in the property
Each option helps guide the next step in the process.
I’d like to make a formal offer
If you love the property and are ready to move forward, you can easily submit a formal offer through your Ostrich account. Simply confirm your offer amount and provide details about your funding position and preferred timeline. For more information, please check out our guide to making a formal offer.
I’d like to organise another viewing
We know that sometimes one visit isn’t enough. If you’d like to see the property again, whether alone or with someone else, that’s absolutely fine. It’s important to feel confident before making an offer. You can easily request a second viewing from the homeowners, and will be notified by email when they respond. To find out more, please see our guide to organising second viewings.
I’m interested, but need more time
If you're interested but not quite ready to commit, perhaps you’re viewing other properties or need time to reflect, you can send a note to the homeowner to explain your situation. Once you're ready, you’ll have the option to proceed with a formal offer, request another viewing, or update the homeowner if you've decided not to move forward.
I’m no longer interested in the property
If the property isn’t quite right for you, you can send a short note to the homeowner explaining why. It doesn’t have to be long, but a bit of feedback helps them understand how their property is coming across.
