When the homeowner is ready to arrange a viewing, you’ll get an email inviting you to book one in!
You'll be prompted to choose a time from the viewing availability the homeowner has shared. Once everything is booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details, including the full address.
Sometimes, a homeowner may want to get in touch before inviting you to a viewing. This could be to align on timelines, or see if you’re willing to increase your indicative offer.
In these cases, you’ll be able to message them directly through your Ostrich account. It’s a good chance to make sure you're both on the same page before booking anything in.
What if none of the times work for me?
If none of the suggested times suit you, you’ll be able to let the homeowner know and send a message with details of when you’re free.
Please keep in mind that homeowners on Ostrich host viewings themselves, so their time may be limited by things like work or family. If you can, try to be a little flexible.
We’ll notify you by email when the homeowner adds different viewing times. They can also message you directly if needed.
What if there are no viewing times left?
In some cases, all the available times might already be booked. If that happens, you’ll be prompted to request more times from the homeowner.
Once the homeowner has added more availability, we'll notify you by email so you can book your viewing.
What if I want to bring someone to the viewing with me?
Once you've chosen a time for your viewing, you'll be asked if anyone will be joining you. If they are, simply provide their first name. You can also mention who they are (like a friend, family member, or partner) as this can be helpful for the homeowner.
If you need to change your additional attendees before the viewing, simply drop us an email at hello@ostrich.co.uk and we can update the viewing details for you and let the owner know.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel a viewing?
You can manage your viewings easily in your Ostrich account. You’ll find them in your Upcoming viewings section in the main menu. Just pick the one you want to change, select Manage viewing, and you’ll be able to reschedule or cancel from there.

What if I no longer want to book a viewing?
If you've had a change of heart, you can easily let the owner know you're no longer interested in viewing the property. You’ll be prompted to pick a reason, so that the owner is kept in the loop.
